Welcome to Camp MagniPHEque
Camp MagniPHEque is a signature CanPKU+ experience designed for individuals and families living with PKU and allied disorders of all ages. This weekend camp brings our community together in a supportive, fun, and educational environment where connections are strengthened and lifelong memories are made.
Whether you are new to the PKU and allied disorders community or have attended before, Camp MagniPHEque offers a welcoming space to learn, share experiences, and simply enjoy time together.
What to Expect
- Age-appropriate activities for children, teens, and adults
- Opportunities to connect with peers, clinicians, and advocates
- Low-protein meals and snacks provided
- Plenty of fun, relaxation, and community-building
- Education and information sharing in a relaxed, non-classroom setting
Event Details
Dates: September 5-7, 2026, Saturday to Monday
Location: Saskatoon, Saskatchewan
Who Can Attend: Individuals of all ages directly or indirectly affected by PKU, HCU, MSUD, or UCDs. When children under the age of 18 are attending, at least one guardian must also attend.

This application is for individuals and families seeking financial support to attend Camp MagniPHEque 2026.
If registration or travel costs are a barrier, support may be available. We aim to support as many families as possible with available funding.
Scholarships are intended to support individuals living with PKU, HCU, MSUD, UCDs, and allied disorders. For applicants under 18, one parent or guardian may also be supported.
In families with multiple individuals living with a rare disorder, each eligible individual may be considered for support, along with one accompanying parent or guardian where appropriate.
Additional attendees are welcome to attend at their own cost.
If your application is approved, the early registration rate will be extended for up to 2 weeks from the date of your offer.

The camp is located on the east shore of Redberry Lake, 85 kilometers north of Saskatoon.
- Take Highway 12 north of Saskatoon.
- Cross the North Saskatchewan River.
- Turn west on Grid Road 781.
- Follow the signs into camp.

- Warm sweater or hoodie
- Jacket or raincoat

- Clothing suitable for outdoor activities
Bedding and Comfort Items
- Bedding for a single bed
- Pillow and pillowcase
- Blanket or sleeping bag
- Stuffed toy or comfort item
- Book, journal, or quiet-time activity
Toiletries and Personal Care
- Toothbrush and toothpaste
- Hairbrush or comb
- Shampoo and conditioner
- Soap or body wash
- Deodorant
- Sunscreen

- Feminine hygiene products if needed
- Glasses or contact lens supplies if needed
Medical and IEM Needs
- Medical formula
- Extra low-protein foods or specialty items. Meals will be provided, but favourite snacks are often a good idea.
- Medications in original containers
- Emergency medications
- Medical supplies or feeding supplies if needed
- Copies of emergency information or medical instructions
- Cooler bag or insulated container if required for travelling to and from camp
- Reusable water bottle
