Our Travel Scholarship helps reduce financial barriers for individuals and families who wish to attend CanPKU+ events and educational opportunities.
Travel Scholarship Information Apply for Travel Scholarship Guthrie-Koch Scholarship
The Guthrie-Koch Scholarship honours the legacies of Dr. Robert Guthrie and Dr. Richard Koch, pioneers whose work transformed newborn screening and improved outcomes for individuals living with inherited metabolic conditions.
Offered internationally by flok, this scholarship supports students living with PKU, MSUD, UCDs, tyrosinemia, organic acidemias, HCU, and related metabolic disorders who are pursuing post-secondary education.
Scholarships of up to $5,000 are available. Canadian students are eligible to apply.

RAREvolution Scholarship
The RAREvolution Scholarship is a national initiative developed in partnership with Alexion and the Canadian Rare Disease Network (CRDN). It is Canada's first pan-rare disease scholarship program, designed to support students living with rare diseases as they pursue post-secondary education.
This program helps reduce financial, health-related, and accessibility barriers that can impact access to education. It recognizes the lived experience, resilience, and potential of students within the rare disease community.
Ages 17-29 - Up to $5,000 - Open across all rare diseases
In addition to financial support, the program fosters community, connection, and leadership among participants.
Eligible students are encouraged to explore the program and apply directly through the Canadian Rare Disease Network.
